Permanent Cosmetics, or permanent make-up in Atlanta and North Georgia.

What is permanent cosmetics

Permanent cosmetics, also known as micro-pigmentation, is the process of inserting pigment just under the skin. This process, very similar to traditional tattooing, can be used in lieu of traditional cosmetic make-up to enhance facial features or camouflage skin imperfections or scars. Areas of treatment include eyebrows, lips, lashes. In addition this micro pigmentation is used to reconstruct the nipple/areola area of the breast. Micro-pigmentation is typically used by women who have trouble applying make up, or those who just want to save time and money. Also micro-pigmentation is a great option for women who are allergic to cosmetic make-up.

Micro-pigmentation is a procedure performed in a local office. It usually takes less than an hour to complete the procedure. The procedure is relatively painless following a topical or local anesthetic to alleviate the discomfort caused by the application tool. Micro-pigmentation results in minimal or no downtime for the patient. As a rule most normal activities can be carried on the very next day. The pigments used in micro-pigmentation should be among those that have been approved by the FDA and are made from safe compounds. By the third week the end result should be clearly visible.
